Mail-order razor company Harry’s Shave signed a lease for 60,000 square feet at 75 Varick Street in Hudson Square.
The online men’s grooming company is moving to the building, also known as One Hudson Square, which is owned by Trinity Real Estate, Norges Bank and Hines, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Empire State Development Corporation.
The state provided $1.5 million in performance-based tax credits to Harry’s, which it claims will create 188 jobs. The company is currently headquartered at Stellar Management’s One Soho Square.
A leasing team at Newmark Knight Frank headed by David Falk and Peter Shimkin is handling leasing at 75 Varick Street. Other tenants at the 1.2-million-square-foot building include Getty Images, New York Magazine, and Adelphi University.
The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund Norges bought a 44 percent stake in the long-term ground lease covering Trinity’s 5 million-square-foot portfolio in 2015, valuing it at $3.55 billion. The partners selected Hines to manage the 11-building portfolio after the Houston-based company bought into the partnership the following year.
