There were just five contracts signed in Brooklyn’s luxury market last week for a total of about $14.3 million.
The properties were all townhouses, and they went for an average price of roughly $2.9 million, according to the latest report from Stribling & Associates. The firm defines the borough’s luxury market as all homes priced at $2 million or higher.
Both numbers were down from the week before, when the market saw 10 contracts signed for about $31.5 million overall.
The most expensive deal last week was for a townhouse at 236 President Street in Carroll Gardens, which went for $4 million. The six-bedroom home spans 3,485 square feet, and the contract price represents a 19 percent discount from the initial listing price.
The second most expensive deal was for a townhouse at 8423 10th Avenue in Dyker Heights, which sold for $3.15 million. The seven-bedroom home contains five fireplaces and spans 6,000 square feet.
The only other deals last week were for a townhouse at 20 Dennett Place in Carroll Gardens for about $2.5 million, a townhouse at 82 4th Avenue in Boerum Hill for about $2.4 million and a townhouse at 262 18th Street in Greenwood for $2.25 million. – Eddie Small
