A unit at JDL Development’s ultra-luxury No. 9 Walton condo tower recorded the priciest residential sale last week in Chicago.
The 11th-floor unit sold for $3.7 million, a princely sum, but well below some of the amounts recorded last year, when the Gold Coast development nabbed four the top 10 most expensive residential sales in the city.
Overall, last week’s top five residential sales in the city involved two condo units and three single-family homes, which totaled $10.65 million. That’s slightly less than what has been the average weekly total since the coronavirus struck. A couple of weeks ago, the five priciest homes — four were single-family residences — totaled $11.7 million.
Besides No. 9 Walton, last week’s properties that sold were located in Lincoln Park — two of them — along with West Town and Forest Glen.
Price and property details were found on Redfin, from June 22 to 28.
