Beck’s real estate picks are never losers, baby.
One of the properties in Hancock Park once owned by the singer — a 1920s Mediterranean-style mansion — has hit the market for $8.4 million, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The two-story home on South Arden Boulevard includes 6,600 square feet of space with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. And on the grounds, there’s a courtyard, pool and pool house.
Beck purchased the home for $2.3 million in 2002 and sold it for $4.2 million in 2005. The current owners, John and Vickie Nellor, have added some interior renovations.
Jill Galloway with Compass has the listing.
Beck has proven his real estate chops as a home flipper. His portfolio has included properties in Hollywood, Los Feliz, Malibu, Brentwood, Santa Monica, and others around Hancock Park. Last year, he sold the Tudor-style Brentwood home for $3.44 million.
Connections to celebrities can sometimes help ignite interest in a property, experts told TRD this year. Although, it doesn’t always add value or sell a house faster.
Hancock Park has long been attracting celebrity homeowners, from Muhammad Ali to Shonda Rhimes. In the past year, former Dodger Adrian Gonzalez has purchased a home in Hancock Park for $11 million, while Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent sold theirs for $11.3 million. [LAT] — Gregory Cornfield
