Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matt Stafford has bought a 15,000-square-foot hilltop mansion in Hidden Hills for $28 million, a local record.

The NFL Super Bowl winner and his wife, Kelly, purchased the new spec home at 25067 Jim Bridger Road on Ashley Ridge, according to the Robb Report.

The developer who sold the estate in an off-market deal was not disclosed.

The Staffords have owned at least five houses in the gated celebrity haven in the west San Fernando Valley within the past three years. In March of last year, they bought the red-brick house and vineyard next door for $10.5 million.

With the purchase of the new house, they now own a 3-acre compound with two homes and two swimming pools valued at a combined $40 million.

The newest Stafford home lies atop “hallowed celebrity ground,” according to Robb.

The hilltop property once made up half the estate of Jennifer Lopez, who lived there from 2010 to 2017 in a mansion she redecorated. In 2021, that older manse was bulldozed, and the estate broken up into two parcels.

Stafford’s $28 million house sits on one of those parcels, while the other parcel is occupied by another new spec mansion that’s listed for $40 million.

The price tag sets a new Hidden Hills record, according to Robb, beating a $26 million sale earlier in 2023.

Their new home is a “glassy contemporary-meets-modern farmhouse … with a dash of Napa Valley retreat,” according to Robb, with numerous gables above its broad expanses of glass, wood and stone.

Hidden Hills, not far from the Rams’ proposed training facility in the Warner Center of Woodland Hills, has become an unofficial hangout for the NFL team. In addition to Stafford, its residents include Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald and Sean McVay.

Last year, the Staffords sold a 15,000 square-foot estate in Hidden Hills to private aviation CEO Bill Papariella for $21 million, not long after the QB led the Rams to a Super Bowl LVI victory.
