The priciest sale in the City of Los Angeles so far this year is James Packer’s $110 million purchase of 630 Nimes Road, according to Los Angeles County tax assessor data through Aug. 25.

The Australian billionaire, who is the former chair of Crown Resorts and the son of the late Australian media mogul Kerry Packer, picked up the property on May 6.
Often called “Le Belvedere,” the French chateau-inspired property has 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, indoor pool, outdoor pool, spa and wellness center. The home spans 35,000 square feet and sits on a 2.2-acre lot.
Carolwood Estates’ Stephen Resnick, David Parnes, Jonathan Nash and James Harris listed the home for a Europe-based limited liability company linked to UK native Richard Livingstone. He and his brother Ian are the billionaire co-founders of London & Regional Properties. Westside Estate Agency co-founder Kurt Rappaport and Carolwood Estates co-founder Drew Fenton represented Packer in the deal.
Developer Mohamed Hadid — father of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid — built the home in 2007 and sold it in 2010 for $50 million to a limited liability company linked to Sarp Turanligil, a Turkish yacht magnate, according to public documents. Hadid then reportedly leased it back.
Hadid included a 60-seat screening room and a master suite featuring a walk-in closet large enough for 1,000 pairs of shoes, according to a former listing cited by Mansion Global.
The property last traded hands in 2018. It was listed for $85 million in December 2016 and then for $72 million in January 2018, before selling for $56 million in May 2018 to an LLC controlled by Los Angeles-based investor Max Fowles-Pazdro. The seller was State Management and Development, per public records.
