Miami Heat’s Tyler Johnson wants to flip his Pinecrest home for $5.25M

Less than a year after spending $4.82 million on a new Pinecrest home, Miami Heat player Tyler Johnson is looking to flip the property for $5.25 million.

Johnson, who signed a four-year, $50 million contract with the Heat in July of last year, put his Mediterranean-style mansion at 9700 West Suburban Drive on the market with Kim Knausz of One Sotheby’s International Realty, she said.

The 9,476-square-foot house, with six bedrooms, an entertainment room, media room and theater, and poolside cabana is too big for Johnson and his fiancée, who planned to live with Johnson’s mother and brother, Knausz said. But plans have since changed for the mother and brother.

The home also has eight bathrooms, two half-baths, a half basketball court, a dual chef’s kitchen and elevator, according to the listing information. It was built in 2009 and sits on more than an acre of land.

Johnson bought the house in August and is now looking to sell it for $430,000, or 9 percent, more. “Even though we have a good amount of inventory, the prices in the luxury market have continued to rise,” Knausz said, adding that the property “blows other homes out of the water.”

The couple loves Miami and Pinecrest, but Knausz declined to say where they’re looking to move. Some of the furnishings are included in the listing price.

Earlier this month, former NBA player Carlos Boozer listed his Pinecrest home at 7450 Southwest 100th Street for $3.2 million. And ex-Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom finally just sold his nearby home after multiple price cuts.
