Tom Viscount joined Avison Young as a principal in the company’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Gene Martinez is now director of luxury sales at Compass Florida. The Miami native joined Compass in 2014 to run the national sales operations and manage recruitment. He helped open Compass’ offices in San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Miami. Compass recently expanded its reach to Coral Gables with two new offices.

CRE Florida Partners hired Greg Laskody as senior vice president of investment sales and capital markets, and Grant Rowars as vice president of commercial sales and leasing, with a focus on industrial and office properties. Laskody was a senior vice president of capital markets at Colliers International South Florida, and Rowars was part of Colliers’ investment sales and capital markets group.

Teresa Angenendt was hired as preconstruction manager of Current Builders, a Pompano Beach-based general contracting firm. She’ll lead the firm’s expansion to Florida’s west coast.

Kipany, a direct marketing services company, is moving to Fort Lauderdale. The firm is relocating from New York after 40 years to a 2,143-square-foot waterfront office space at 511 Southeast Fifth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, which it purchased for $2.15 million. Filippo Incorvaia of Douglas Elliman represented the buyer, Kip Colligan, co-founder and COO of Kipany.
