RelatedISG International Realty is relaunching its commercial real estate arm and hired former Decorus Realty broker Tomas Sulichin to lead the new division, The Real Deal has learned.

Sulichin is now president of the commercial division, which will focus on investment and development sales, and leasing across all sectors, including multifamily, retail, industrial and hospitality, he said. Sulichin said he plans to grow the business to about two dozen agents, and is in talks with agents working for some of the bigger commercial real estate brokerages.

RelatedISG, a joint venture between International Sales Group owner Craig Studnicky and Jorge Pérez, chairman and CEO of Related Group, initially launched a commercial division in 2015. Dirk Saecker was brought on to lead the venture, and left shortly after to join Elite Ocean View Realty, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Carolina Gerdts, executive vice president of RelatedISG, said in a statement that the brokerage’s first attempt to open a commercial division was a “learning experience,” and that it remained dormant while the firm focused more on its residential and developer sales divisions.

Sulichin founded and led the commercial real estate branch of Decorus Realty, and was a founding partner of Rotsztain & Sulichin along with his mother, Patricia Rotsztain, who is now with Douglas Elliman.

Sulichin left Decorus after it was acquired by One Sotheby’s International Realty in August, but said he had been in talks with RelatedISG in the months leading up to the acquisition.

Sulichin said the new RelatedISG division will focus on deals in South Florida, as well as expand to other parts of the state, including Tampa, Orlando and Sarasota.

“Volatile markets create opportunities,” he said, referring to the pandemic. “South Florida definitely bounces back quickly, faster than the rest of the nation.”
