In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, a commercial real estate financing expert moved to Miami.
Miami-based Concord Summit Capital brought in Robert Horton as a managing director, according to a press release. In his new role, Horton will be responsible for sourcing new debt and equity opportunities across national markets.
Prior to Concord Summit, Horton was a director with George Smith Partners in Los Angeles. His resume also includes stints at Brookfield Properties and Marcus & Millichap, the release shows.
In other commercial real estate news, Basis Industrial alum Max Ducharme launched his own firm, he confirmed. Ducharme’s PMD Capital Management is based in West Palm Beach and is focusing on multi-tenant retail and industrial assets from Palm Beach County up to the Space Coast.
Ducharme is pivoting less than a year after Boca Raton-based Basis Industrial hired him as a managing partner for its new investment arm. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president at Falcone Group.
In Boca Raton, Chasen Companies and ASG Development tapped Douglas Elliman’s Kelly Gerber to lead sales for its Glass House Boca Raton project, according to a press release. The developers launched sales for the 10-story, 28-unit planned condominium last month. Condo prices range from $2.5 million to $6.9 million.
Serhant added agent Amy Casal to its Delray Beach office, according to a press release. She was previously an agent with the Morera Group, according to LinkedIn. The brokerage has been steadily adding to its roster since expanding to South Florida last year.
