Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler is renting a waterfront Miami Beach home for more than $70,000 a month, The Real Deal has learned.

Butler, who is rumored to possibly be traded to another team, signed a lease for an 8,500-square-foot, five-bedroom mansion on Hibiscus Island, sources told TRD

Butler sold his 6,148-square-foot, six-bedroom house near South Miami and Coral Gables over the summer for $8.3 million. He owns a lavish estate in San Diego that features its own coffee shop. In addition to being a six-time NBA All-Star, Butler is a coffee entrepreneur. He recently opened his first brick-and-mortar shop for his coffee company, called Bigface, in the Miami Design District.

Julian Johnston of the Corcoran Group is listing the Hibiscus Island mansion, built in 2001, for $30 million. Records show Andrew Mirmelli owns the 0.4-acre property. He paid $21 million for the home in 2021.

Greg Mirmelli, Andrew’s brother, represented Butler in the lease. Johnston, who declined to comment, represented the property owner.

Butler signed a four-year, $184 million contract extension with the Heat in 2021. He has $49 million left on his contract with the Heat for this season, according to ESPN. The news outlet reported on Wednesday that the Phoenix Suns are among the teams that Butler’s agent said he’s open to for a trade.
