Ex-“Real Housewives of Miami” star, fiancé attorney pay $34M for waterfront Gables Estates mansion

Power couple recently sold their nearby estate for $40M

RHOM's Nicole Martin, Anthony Lopez Buy Coral Gables Home

Attorney Anthony Lopez and his fiancée, former “Real Housewives of Miami” star, Dr. Nicole Martin, bought a waterfront mansion in Coral Gables following their recent sale of a nearby estate, The Real Deal has learned.

The couple paid $34 million for the seven-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bedroom home at 33 Arvida Parkway in the gated Gables Estates neighborhood, Lopez told TRD. It was asking $47 million, which means they received a 28 percent discount off the asking price.

The deal closed on Friday.

The neighborhood was recently named the most expensive one in the U.S., topping Beverly Hills, according to Zillow.

Rafael Perez, a real estate investor, sold the 12,500-square-foot mansion, which sits on a 0.8-acre waterfront lot. Lopez owns the Coconut Grove-based law firm called Your Insurance Attorney, and Martin, an anesthesiologist, was on “The Real Housewives of Miami” until this latest season. She also launched a skincare line called Exoceuticals.

The Gables Estates property was on the market with One Sotheby’s International Realty’s Dennis Carvajal and Maria Marin-Sanchez, and it went under contract in June. Carvajal also represented Lopez and Martin.

The property has 225 feet of water frontage, a four-car garage, dock and boat lift, bayfront pool and summer kitchen, according to the listing. The Gables Estates home was built in 2004.

The Classic Mediterranean mansion comes with a custom temperature-controlled wine cellar that holds more than 2,700 bottles, dual home offices, a game room and fully equipped gym, according to the listing.

Lopez said they plan to gut-renovate the house, add an 80-foot dock and a floating padel court to the property. He expects the renovation will take two years to complete and cost $10 million.

“It’s an interesting buy considering Gables Estates only has 14 open bay homes that exist in the neighborhood,” he said.

Lopez and Martin are known for decking out their properties.

The couple, who own a condo on Fisher Island, recently sold the waterfront Old Cutler Bay mansion in Coral Gables that they had just finished renovating. A trust in Lopez’s name sold the 19,380-square-foot, seven-bedroom home at 555 Reinante Avenue for $40 million to English singer-songwriter Robbie Williams.
Lopez and Martin have been successful luxury home flippers. In 2022, they sold their nearly 13,000-square-foot estate at 9501 Journeys End Lane in Coral Gables to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos’ late mother, Jackie, and his stepfather, Mike, for $44 million. That was in addition to the $34 million that Jackie and Mike Bezos paid for the adjacent home at 9475 Journeys End Road.
