Retired advertising executive Dick Tarlow and his wife Kristin Kehrberg shelled out $16.5 million for a three-bedroom co-op unit in Carnegie Hill.
The couple purchased a three-bedroom apartment on the 19th floor of 1050 Fifth Avenue, a 90-unit co-op building at 86th Street, the New York Post reported.
Leslie J.W. Singer and John Venekamp of Brown Harris Stevens [TRDataCustom] represented the owners, and Douglas Elliman’s Anne Easton represented the buyers. The apartment had been listed for 35 days.
The apartment overlooks Central Park, but also has views of the Empire State Building, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the George Washington Bridge, according to StreetEasy. The master bedroom, which is separate from the apartment’s other bedrooms, has a private terrace.
The 20-story co-op building was developed in 1960 by ex-Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s father, Bernard Spitzer. Late last year, his son put a hefty stake of the property into the Bernard and Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust, as part of his efforts to divvy up his late father’s real estate portfolio.
