Vickey Barron, a top Douglas Elliman broker who closed over $150 million in new development deals last year, has jumped to the Corcoran Group.

Barron [TRDataCustom] did a number of stints at Elliman, including from 2000 until 2011 and then again beginning in 2013, with a stop at Core in between.

Most recently, she led sales for Elliman at Magnum Real Estate Group’s 100 Barclay Street before the firm was replaced by Corcoran Sunshine Development Marketing last year.

“Coming to Corcoran is a natural move for me to make,” Barron said in a statement to The Real Deal. “Corcoran’s leadership position in new development is unmatched and we will be able to expand our new development options and build our business in ways not available anywhere else.”

Corcoran noted Barron has sold over $2.5 billion worth of properties, including the record-breaking $51 million sale of the penthouse at Walker Tower at 212 West 18th Street in 2014. According to TRD’s ranking of 2016’s top agents, Barron closed $157.6 million in Manhattan new-development deals in 2016, putting her in 19th place.

Barron’s team, which includes her daughters Teka Klopfenstein and Pacey Barron, will join her at Corcoran.

An Elliman spokesperson said the firm wishes Barron the best.

There are several units listed as being in contract on Barron’s Elliman webpage, which remained active as of late Thursday, including a $15.2 million apartment at Walker Tower. She’s also listing a $7.73 million townhouse at 41 Bethune Street in the West Village.

Barron’s exit is the latest shuffle between Elliman and Corcoran. Earlier this month, Corcoran top-producer Tamir Shemesh jumped to Elliman after a disagreement with Corcoran senior management.
