The largely vacant 40-year-old White Plains Mall may soon be no more. The city has scheduled a public hearing on August 7th to discuss proposed plans to tear it down in favor of a mixed-use development space proposal that includes plans for food-oriented retail, new residences, parking and green space. A zoning change is required before the proposal can be approved. [LoHud]
