Anne Hathaway and spouse sell Westport mansion for $2.7M
Anne Hathaway and her husband have taken a loss on their Westport mansion, Variety reported. The Oscar-winning actress and actor and producer Adam Shulman bought the five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home for $2.79 million a little over two years ago, and recently sold it off-market for $2.7 million, according to the outlet. The 1920s-built property, known as CompoBello, has a main residence, attached guesthouse, manicured gardens, and an outdoor kitchen and grilling station, in addition to a “heated saltwater swimming pool and spa” and “barn-like poolside structure,” the outlet reported. Hathaway and Shulman, who also own homes in Los Angeles and New York City, are reportedly searching for a larger waterfront home in the area. [Variety]

$101.3M sale in Elmsford tops list of largest commercial real estate sales in Westchester
A garden apartment complex in Elmsford that sold to Ares Management for $101.3 million in July was the largest commercial real estate sale in Westchester County this past year, the Westchester County Business Journal reported. The sale of 32 Nob Hill Drive was also the only nine-figure deal that took place in the county this past year, according to the outlet, which compiled a list of the 11 biggest commercial real estate sales of 2018. Second on the list was the $91 million sale of the Talleyrand Apartments complex in Tarrytown, followed by the $83 million sale of the Westchester Financial Center in White Plains. The list showed that investors “spent large sums of money on existing apartment towers and complexes,” the outlet reported. [WBJ]

Four Fairfield County zip codes are still some of the priciest
Fairfield County is home to four of the most expensive zip codes in the country, the Stamford Advocate reported. A new PropertyShark report found that 06878 in Riverside, 06870 in Old Greenwich, 06830 in Greenwich and 06807 in the Cos Cob neighborhood of Greenwich were four of the 100 priciest zip codes in the nation, according to the outlet. Last year, only the Greenwich and Riverside zip codes made it onto the top 100 ranking. Fairfield University professor Kathi Mettler told the outlet that Fairfield has experienced growth due to its “proximity to New York, as well as a number of New York-based companies relocating to the Stamford area.” [Stamford Advocate]

Firm buying 2 buildings plans to bring co-working, ax throwing spaces to Yonkers
A Yonkers-based firm that’s planning to buy two buildings on Lake Avenue for around $3 million wants to bring a co-working space and an ax throwing venture to one of them, LoHud reported. Momentum Realty Acquisitions is currently in contract to buy 222 Lake Avenue, a building in Yonkers’ historic carpet mills complex that was gutted by a fire in 2017, and an industrial building at 252C Lake Avenue. The former will likely become a mixed-use property known as The Mill that will house a food hall and other tenants. Momentum’s principal Ruben Guerrero said The Mill would be aimed at a “millennial crowd.” Guerrero is “in talks with a national co-working company” and is also interested in leasing part of the building’s ground floor to a venture that offers ax throwing — a “recreational sport” that’s become increasingly popular. RXR among developers planning mixed-use project near New Rochelle train station
A pair of mixed-use buildings are heading to New Rochelle’s Garden Street, LoHud reported. The Stagg Group, a Bronx-based developer, plans to build a 14-story building with 187 residential units, 17,000 square feet of commercial space and 3,000 square feet of retail space at 26 Garden Street, according to the outlet. Manhattan-based developer RXR Realty, meanwhile, plans to construct a building with 219 affordable units at 11 Garden Street, which is currently a parking lot across from 26 Garden Street. Both projects would be about three minutes away from the train station in New Rochelle, a transit hub that some hope will provide the basis for a revitalized downtown. “We’re excited to get this project in the ground and get it developed,” Stagg Group representative Mark Fonte said of the 26 Garden Street project. New York-based investor shells out $4.6M for Norwalk office building
An office building in Norwalk along the historic town green has sold for $4.6 million, The Hour reported. An affiliate of GHP Office Realty, which is a division of Houlihan-Parnes Realtors, sold the approximately 40,000-square-foot building to an unidentified investor from New York, according to the outlet. The 1965-built building on East Avenue houses more than 25 tenants and is 92 percent leased. Earlier this year, GHP sold an office building on Danbury Road for $9.2 million, the outlet reported.
