Holly Parker Team tops volume, but Noble Black Team raked in more dough

Douglas Elliman named its top performers of 2023, picking out brokers that made the best of another year where high mortgage rates and economic uncertainty took a bite out of sales for New York’s residential players.

As the market cooled last year, Elliman saw its on-market, sell-side volume in Manhattan fall by more than $2 billion to $4.2 billion. The drop placed it in good company with the rest of the firms in The Real Deal’s brokerage rankings, where it sank from second in 2022 to third overall in volume last year, behind Corcoran and Compass.

The firm announced its 2024 Ellie Awards winners recognizing the top producers in Manhattan, which combine for 21 sales over $25 million. 

Ann Cutbill Lenane finished as the top earning individual agent and the agent with the most sales in the city’s priciest borough. Shari Scharfer Rollins was the top individual agent by volume. 

The Holly Parker Team placed first among large teams for most sales volume, followed by The Noble Black Team and The Michael Lorber Team. The Erin Boisson Aries Team sold the most among medium teams and the Janice Chang Team performed the best among small teams. 

When it came to top earners in terms of commission, none in the large teams category did better than Noble Black’s team, which finished first for gross commission income. Holly Parker’s team came in second, The Rubin Team came in third and Michael Lorber’s team came in fourth.

The Rubin Team sold the most units among large teams, followed by the Noble Black and Holly Parker teams. The Kirsten Jordan Team finished first among medium teams in transactions and the Capotorto Team was the top small team in that category. 

Elliman snagged second place in TRD’s brokerage rankings for Brooklyn, where it reported more than $274 million in closed sales volume across 406 deals. The Scott-Robles Team was named the borough’s top medium team by gross commission income and the top small team went to the Christina Kremidas Team.

Rebekah Carver was named top individual agent by gross commission income in Brooklyn, followed by Margula Roumani in second place. 

The Eklund-Gomes Team again made the Billion Dollar Club, an honor given to teams that finish with $1 billion in volume. 

Executive chairman Howard Lorber in a statement lauded the top brokers’ performance in light of “financial and market headwinds across the industry.”
