Jules Trump

Co-Chairman

Jules Trump and his brother, Eddie, run the Trump Group, a Sunny Isles Beach-based development firm that’s built high-end oceanfront condo projects that include Acqualina Resort & Spa, Mansions at Acqualina and Estates at Acqualina.

The South African-born Trumps are not related to Donald and have no affiliation with the Trump Organization.

Jules got his first job at the age of seven, when he went to work at his parents’ clothing store in South Africa. That’s when his business partnership with Eddie began.

His family emigrated to the U.S. in 1974 and bought a 140-store chain of a men’s suits store, called Bond. His shift to commercial real estate and luxury condo development put him in an industry not known for its warmth, but he has nevertheless built a reputation for courtesy, even in tense situations or rare legal disputes. The personality trait of politeness and casual demeanor carry through in his projects, which tend to have strong hospitality components. One exception in recent years has been the Trump Group’s backing of a plan for a massive industrial development in Southern California, which is envisioned as a 41 million square-foot logistics hub on the outskirts of the Los Angeles metro market.
