Celebrity couple Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber have parted ways with their 5,300-square-foot home in Malibu.
In the latest in a series of big trades in the wealthy coastal enclave, the duo sold the home for $45 million, roughly 40 percent less than its original asking price of $60 million nearly two years ago. It most recently listed at $50 million in October, TMZ reported.
Built in 1944, the oceanfront home has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms and a media room. Amenities on the property’s 3.2 acres include a tennis court, fire pit, open-air pavilion and a swimming pool.
The couple paid $50.5 million for the home and the parcel next door in February 2015, property records show. Together, the two lots total 5.9 acres.
Crawford, a supermodel, and Gerber, a nightlife entrepreneur, also own a property in Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills. They paid $11.6 million for that 5,400-square-foot pad, which had been recently flipped by Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic’s frontman.
The Malibu sale by Crawford and Gerber adds to the growing list of big-ticket homes that have traded there in recent months. Earlier this year, Hard Rock Café founder Peter Morton broke LA county records when he agreed to sell his beachfront home in Carbon Beach for $110 million to a billionaire couple. Meanwhile, NBC Universal vice chairman Ron Meyer is shopping his 3.1-acre Paradise Cove home for a whopping $125 million. [TMZ] — Natalie Hoberman
