Oops — they shouldn’t have done that at all.

That’s the song pop star-turned-tabloid target Britney Spears is singing after an apparent hack of the MLS system in the Los Angeles area led to a false listing of her mansion in suburban Thousand Oaks, TMZ reported.

The listing went up with a price just under $9 million for the 13,200-square-foot home. Other real estate sites, including Realtor.com and Zillow.com followed suit, eventually setting off a social media storm worthy of the drama-laden diva.

The subject of the false listing appears to be the same Italianate manor on a 20-acre chunk of land that Spears bought for $7.4 million in 2015.

It remains unclear who was behind the false listing, or any motive behind the move. A listing by Spears wouldn’t be any surprise in Southern California, where she has made a bit of a cottage industry of buying, listing and selling mansions in various high-end enclaves of the region, including Calabasas, Beverly Hills and Ventura County-based Thousand Oaks.

Spears’ management noticed the bogus listing and got it removed after checking with several big-name agents who were named in it, according to TMZ. Each of the agents said they were unaware of the listing.
