Paris Hilton, Carter Reum Pay $61M for Beverly Park Estate

Beverly Park can add another A-lister to its celebrity-filled gated community in Paris Hilton and husband Carter Reum.

The couple dropped $63.1 million for 71 Beverly Park, nabbing a discount on the compound once owned by Mark Wahlberg, The Wall Street Journal first reported.

The sprawling estate was originally listed for $68 million in March. Hilton and Reum will move into an upscale community that boasts several A-list residents past and present, including Justin Bieber, Adele, Sylvester Stallone, Eddy Murphy, Rod Stewart and Sofia Vergara.

Hilton lost her Malibu home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

The heiress and former star of “The Simple Life” is an entrepreneur many times over, launching Paris Hilton Entertainment in 2006 to serve as a multi-pronged media enterprise that is now a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, according to Hilton’s biographical website. The business has since been renamed 11:11 Media and consists of production company Slivington Manor Entertainment, London Audio podcasts, 11:11 digital, licensing, music and other revenue drivers.

Compass’ Ginger Glass and Alexandra Glass were the listing agents. Hilton was represented by her brother Barron N. Hilton and his wife Tessa Hilton, co-founders and co-CEOs of Hilton Hilton.. The brokerage was started by Rick Hilton after he parted ways with Hilton & Hyland, the firm he co-founded with Jeff Hyland.

The trade makes Hilton the latest heavy hitter to be added to the compound’s ownership lineage of high-profile names.

The seller in the current deal is an LLC reportedly tied to Gu Fang, per Robb Report. Her husband is Chinese billionaire Xu Hang, who made his fortune off the co-founding of medical device maker Mindray Medical International and is owner of developer Parkland Group. Forbes estimates Hang’s wealth at $7.9 billion.

The couple has been on a pricey real estate spending spree, also plunking down $20.8 million for Rihanna’s Century City penthouse last year and reality TV stars Heather and Terry Dubrow’s Newport Coast mansion at 2 Coral Ridge for $55 million in 2022.

The billionaire couple bought 71 Beverly Park in February 2023 for $55 million, about $33 million less than what actor Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham originally aimed for when they listed the property in 2022.
